The leaves are changing, the temperature is dropping, and more and more people are thinking of layering up. While your clients may be bringing more jackets to their appointments, they’ll definitely be setting the hat aside for the time being.
Hair styles change with the weather, but fall brings a different energy. There’s a more relaxed nature to style it seems, and that relaxed feeling is woven throughout the top trends for fall of 2017.
We’ve found some of the styles that will be trending this fall, and we know you’ll want to put them into your repertoire.
#1 – Low Pony
Staying with the more relaxed hairstyle theme, we arrive at the low pony. Keeping hair well managed has never looked so good. Using a small section of hair to accentuate the smooth and laid-back look will add definition to your clients’ new cut. Casual and cute are combined in this easy and sophisticated trend. Be on the lookout for it this fall.
#2 – Top Knot
Long hair has been popular with women forever! How do they manage it? The top knot, of course! Help your client’s learn how to pull off a top knot.
Keeping hair messy is very envogue. Showing off texture in your client’s hair is a huge benefit of the top knot. It’s a simple technique that can provides a casual look or a polished look – depending on how it is styled. However it’s worn, the top knot is here to stay in 2017.
#3 – Messy And Wavy
Wavy and free-flowing hair looks amazing on the beach. That care-free look is very popular, and we’re sure we’ll see lots of messy do’s during the fall season of 2017. Creating this hairstyle is as easy as it looks: take out the texturing spray for your roots and straighten just enough.
The wavy bob – or ‘wob’ – will be in play this fall as well. Your clients will love the look and the simplicity of the wob. A teased messy look combined with a bob? What’s not to like!
HEAD TURNING COLOUR
We couldn’t write about trends without mentioning colour trends. There are a few different styles that have caught our attention that we’re sure will be on display during Fall of 2017.
#1 – Pink
More and more millennials are turning towards a shock of colour throughout their hair as opposed to highlights. One example of this is the abundance of pink hair we’ve all seen on our Instagram feeds. Your clients likely saw someone they follow with pink hair and now want some of their own. We don’t blame them! Pink is very in, and should be in well into 2017.
#2 – Grown Out Regrowth
Women know how hard it is to keep their regrowth in check. Regular touch ups can be costly, and your clients know that. That’s why they’ll be thrilled to know that a trend set to continue through 2018 is grown-out regrowth for brunettes. It’s become very chic to let that blonde fade out into its natural brunette state, giving a more balanced look to your client’s hair.
#3 – Ash Brown
Smoky hues don’t just apply to eyeliner anymore. More and more clients are looking at adding an ashy brown to their hair for 2017. It does take a little bit of work to get the colour just right, but we know that you have the skills to give the client what they’re looking for.
BRAIDED STRANDS & HEADBANDS
Creating that “Festival Vibe” look is incredibly popular among millennials. Whether they are attending a festival or not, the look of having been to one is very trendy. This can be done through braiding one strand for your client while leaving the rest long and messy. Another great option is to create a ‘headband’ with a braided strand. Your client will love the fancy-free look that is as functional as it is fashionable
